Clinical Summary

after orthopedic surgery followed by left femoral FX in about 1.5 months before, hemorrhagia continued from sutures.and Hb was dropped to 4mg/dl despite several blood transfusion. the next surgical plane was left femoral amputation. in consultation with radiological service, CT angiography and embolisation was recommended.

 

Imaging Findings

multiple hemangiomas were detected in pelvis and left and right lower limbs and adjacent to left kidney. huge hematoma was seen in left femur. some phleboliths were seen in some of them.

 

Differential Diagnosis

hemangioma

 

Final Diagnosis

hemorrhgic hemangioma which its bleeding was successfully controlled with embolisation.

 

Discussion (Related Text)
